A view through window at Týřov

A narrow crinkling path on a steep slope above river leads to famous royal castle above Berounka ("Beroun river"), which was built around 1230 by king Wenceslas I. Still imposant ruin towers on a pointy hillside in a natural preserve by mouth of Úpoř ("Obstin") brook, which comes from Broumy. The castle is an interesting example of a French castel type surrounded by flanking towers, which allowed defenders to attack their assaulting enemies from side. Following the river, there are no allowed pathways in the wilderness by Týřovické skály ("Týřovice rocks") and Velká Pleš ("Great Drawn").
