By Černá hora at Šumava

We were once, during one of our wanderings over Šumava (Bohemian Forest, "Hum"), walking from Nové Hrady ("New Castles") to Kašperské hory ("Karlsberg montains"). The road took various forms, but this one was the most common. Wide but not frequent forester's rubble-shed road led by blueberry bushes, clearances and highly-protected woods, abandoned ruins of former houses and shining new tourist shelters. Not much of old Böhmerwald remained, but Šumava was still beautiful.
