Cursed Monk by Drahomyšl

One of most beautiful czech standing stones has -as others of it's kind- an unknown past and it's prehistoric connection is hardly arguable. A legend says, that the stone was a monk from Žatec ("Sheart"), who ran away with a burgess daughter and was cursed. The stone also requested return to former position every time it was removed. It's greyish-white quartzite tones well with the land between Ohře (Eger) river and Džbán ("Mug") hills, where even cats have the color of clay-limestone caps of local hills and where stones from early spring furrows leave light marks on hands.
