Notre Dame at Quillan

There are many romanesque churches in foothills of Pyrenees and Quillan, where have I been for most of the time, is no exemption. Local church is mentioned at 9th century and is still in use. Quillan itself is located by an old galoroman oppidum and a later Visigoth fortress and guarded an important road by Aude river, leading from Carcassone to Pyrenees. It is a living and constantly decorated town today, which substantially harvests it's Cathar past.
