It is not easy to walk through landscape of foothills of Pyrenees, there are many thorny bushes in woods and pastures are circumfenced by electric fences. One has to rely on donkey paths and old pathways, that lead through abandoned olive orchards and over karren fields at mountaintops, and narrow roads, that run between tiny villages, over upland plains, by hidden churches and castles and which run over mountain passes and then descend to river canyons.
