One of entrances to "Chrustenice shaft" mine

The "Chrustenice shaft" was one of most important iron ore mines in Barrandien. Mining began here at 1861, when the area was being prospected and the deposit was opened from surface. At 1960s, the mine had 84 underground levels and was 426 meters deep. Most of underground is now flooded, but there is a mining exposition in upper levels. Mine trams resting in one of two by Neubauer-system reinforced entrance adits are also part of exhibition.
