Kummergebirge..."Gnat" mountains, Polomené hory ("Half-broken, Windbroken Mountains"). An expatriated, abandoned, closed and redisovered land. Dark blue autumn evening after ascending via a muddy and steep road rutted by heavy machinery to hill close to vanished Strážov ("Guarding") remind of one more possible translation. Maybe not historically exact but omnipresent in surrounding landscape. Kummergebirge...Sorrow Mountains.
